I’m Mark and the Director and Owner of Twentysix Recruitment. My experience and background come predominantly from the Leisure and Recruitment Industry spanning 24 years in total, having worked overseas for Thomas Cook for 10 years and a further 8 years with a large high street recruiter, before finally starting Twentysix Recruitment in 2013. I’m driven in my work life by service and reputation, and I take my responsibilities in Twentysix seriously. I am a father of twins and a husband to wife and business partner Leanne. I truly believe that my family is the foundation that everything else is built upon. I have written a short bio on the team below. I could have banged on about them endlessly but thought I’d spare you! The team is forever growing so new members will appear as time progresses. Needless to say that I’m incredibly proud of the team and the work they do.
Megan started with Twentysix in 2016 and was completely new to all things administration and recruitment. Fast-forward to the current day and Megan is the cornerstone of finance, payroll, Invoicing and all things credit control. There isn’t much that gets past her, we know, we’ve tried! Megan also oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of the Operational Administrator role, mentoring and providing training and support, while developing her own leadership skills. Megan enjoys exercise and playing netball and skiing. She also enjoys keeping us in-line and making sure we don’t mess with her payroll. Whatever you do, don’t mess with her payroll!!
Alan joined the team at Twentysix in 2014 and was our first employee in the business, bringing with him a pedigree in both Recruitment and Catering. Alan is a Chef by trade, spending around eighteen years in total within the industry, holding positions up to Head Chef across a variety of sectors, including Contract Catering, Events, Stadia and Education. Alan spent a further four years working for a large high street recruiter within their Catering division before joining Twentysix. Alan’s experience plays a large part in the service supplied to both the clients and candidates and has resulted in both growth and success. Alan continues to play a role in the decision-making process in the business and will continue to be key to our success. We’re incredibly grateful to have on the team and the positive influence be brings. Alan is a keen follower of Liverpool FC (Don’t judge him) and enjoys dining in fine restaurants and drinking red wine. Mind you, who doesn’t!
Lucie has a background in Catering and Hospitality spanning back to her teenage years, from working in her local pub, to the prestigious Canterbury Cathedral Lodge running both intimate and high-profile events. Lucie has most recently held the position of Restaurant Manager of a fine dining restaurant within a growing luxury hotel brand in Kent. Lucie has recruited her own teams in the many senior positions held and can identify good talent when she sees it! Lucie is incredibly driven to help support the candidates and clients of 26, applying her own skills and knowledge of the industry in the process. Due to continued business growth, Lucie has been promoted to Senior Consultant, recognising her hard work, commitment and contribution to the success of the team. A keen dancer from the age of two through to eighteen, Lucie now enjoys relaxing, spending time with her husband, friends and family and squeezing in the occasional gym session!
Tom joined the Twentysix team in November 2021, bringing a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. Starting his career in the pub trade, then finding his calling in the golf industry, he worked in multiple golf clubs across the South of the UK for over ten years. Tom is a qualified Chef and has held other positions such as Wedding and Events Manager and, more recently, Hospitality Manager within the Leisure Industry. Tom brings an in-depth and diverse perspective on the Hospitality Industry, which is crucial to the role here at Twentysix. Due to continued business growth, Tom has been promoted to Senior Consultant, a recognition of his expertise, dedication and the value he brings to both clients and candidates. Tom’s interests include golf, running and cooking. As expected, Tom has spent a large part of his career dabbling in golf, and he’s also run multiple half marathons.
We are thrilled to introduce Mallika as the newest member of the team here at Twentysix in the role of Operational Administrator. Mallika’s experience is based around many customers-driven roles, with a considerable amount of time working in front of house for a busy high street restaurant brand, interacting with the customers, providing excellent customer service, which she is keen to bring to the Twentysix candidates and Client. Mallika has a natural style of communication, is a stickler for detail and is driven by doing a good job! Mallika is a self-confessed foodie, loves to travel and is an avid follower of Arsenal Football Club (she openly admits it as well!?) We are super-excited to have her onboard and look forward to her progression in the business.
Max joined our Twentysix family in April 2020 as an eight-week-old pup and established himself as an important member of the team. We don't allow him to answer the phone, due to his lack of catering and recruitment experience, however, he does contribute in other ways throughout the day. Wondering around the office, he’ll often give a gentle nudge of his nose if he feels you’re not paying him enough attention and likes to follow you around, just in case you’re going somewhere amazing! His generosity of self allows you to rub his belly; so generous, right!? but doesn't extend far enough for you to touch his favourite chewy toy - A dog can only go so far, you know! When he’s not boosting team morale, he can often be seen keeping a watchful eye out of the window watching the boats on the river, and also just in case those pesky squirrels step out of line. Good boy Max!
