Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This role is ideal for a Senior Chef de Partie ready to take on more responsibility or a Junior Sous Chef seeking a new challenge. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen, contributing to the menu's creative and dynamic offerings and covering for the Head Chef in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard.
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating seasonal menus that highlight fresh, local ingredients and seafood.
  • Ensure consistent quality in every dish served.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Manage stock levels and place orders to ensure fresh ingredients are always available.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Chef de Partie, or Junior Sous Chef.
  • Passion for fresh, local ingredients and seafood.
  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and food hygiene certification.
